4 Red Cross shelters open as severe weather slams Arizona
The American Red Cross announced Thursday that three shelters are now open across the state for those affected by this week’s storm or who are seeking shelter from incoming storms. The American Red Cross has opened four shelters in Phoenix, Chinle, White River, and Heber across Arizona to assist residents displaced by severe storms. The shelters are free of cost and are being provided by Red Cross officials to assist those in need of assistance. This comes as more severe weather is expected to hit the state, with officials urging people to follow safety tips such as staying away from downed power lines and watching animals closely. The Red Cross is working with emergency management and city governments in affected areas to ensure the safety of those evacuated.
