The fourth generation of the Hyundai Tucson, with approximately 750,000 units delivered from 2020 to date and which has become the best-selling model of the current Hyundai range, will be renewed in 2024 for the European market. The facelift update includes redesigned front and rear bumpers and a new front grille, with larger “angel wing” daytime running lights integrated into the grille.

New Hyundai Tucson 2024, what changes in the restyling

The restyling of the Hyundai SUV includes redesigned bumpers that integrate seamlessly with the new underbody protection, giving greater dynamism and presence. In future, the radiator grille will be surrounded by larger daytime running lights.

How the new 2024 Tucson changes at the front

The restyling also introduces new alloy wheels and four new paint finishes: Cypress Green Mineral Effect, Ecotronic Gray Mineral Effect, Ultimate Red Metallic and Sailing Blue Mineral Effect. For the N Line version, more aggressive side skirts, a separate radiator grille, special 19-inch wheels, wheel arches and side strips in body color are available.

Cockpit, what the interiors of the new Tucson are like

In the passenger compartment of the new Hyundai Tucson there are the major innovations, with a redesigned steering wheel and the introduction of two 12.3-inch curved displays for the instrument panel and infotainment, which transform the appearance of the passenger compartment, taking inspiration from that of the Ioniq 5.

The dashboard has been renewed with a new steering wheel and two curved displays

The dashboard, center fascia and armrest have also been redesigned, while the new display for the automatic climate control is new. The seats remain the same, but now feature new upholstery options.

The new Tucson also introduces technological improvements in the cabin, such as over-the-air software updates and a head-up display with 12-inch projection on the windshield. Additionally, later this year, the Tucson will be compatible with the ultra-wideband Hyundai Digital Key, which allows vehicle entry and start via smartphone.

The Hyundai Tucson engine range includes several petrol options based on 1.6-litre turbo petrol units (with or without a 48-volt mild hybrid system), hybrid or plug-in hybrid. The 150 HP and 180 HP versions remain unchanged, while the hybrid in the restyling has a system power of 230 HP and the plug-in hybrid 265 HP.

There is also a mild hybrid diesel variant in the range

An interesting novelty is the return of the diesel engine, with the addition of the 1.6 CRDi 48 Volt mild hybrid unit, previously removed from the range. Additionally, a new front-wheel drive PHEV variant is planned to be introduced, which was previously only available as an all-wheel drive model. However, all-wheel drive is an option available for both combustion and hybrid engines.

Driving systems in the Tucson include LED matrix headlights that automatically adapt to road conditions, providing optimal lighting without dazzling other vehicles.

Among the driving assistance systems, there is also crosswind stability control, which improves driving stability in case of strong winds by means of microcorrections to the steering and brakes.

Price, how much does the 2024 Tucson cost

The starting price of the new Tucson exceeds 30,000 euros. The price list has not yet been published, while the arrival of the SUV in Italian Hyundai dealerships is expected by summer 2024.
