You can help pick a name for Reid Park’s newborn African elephant. The public can vote on the name of Reid Park Zoo's newborn African elephant. The public can choose between Zuma or Zuma, which is in honor of the Zuma rock formation in Nigeria. Voting will end on April 17 at 10 a.m. The winning name will be announced later that afternoon. The calf was born on March 8 and will join four other elephants in the herd.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) — You can help pick a name for Reid Park’s newborn African elephant.
The public can vote on one of three names for the young elephant.
• Zuma (in honor of the Zuma rock formation in Nigeria)
Voting closes on Wednesday April. 17 at 10 a.m. You can vote at this link.
Reid Park Zoo will announce the winning name later that afternoon.
The calf was born on March 8 and is the third African elephant born at Reid Park Zoo.
The newborn will join four other elephants in the herd.
