TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) — A Tucson solar installation company has been ordered to pay more than $8 million in a stock-sales fraud case.

After an extensive investigation, Arizona Corporation Commission found David Shorey committed multiple violations of Arizona securities laws.

Company principal, Shorey, allegedly defrauded investors through an energy and solar stock program in which he acted as the program's CEO and offered and sold unregistered securities within or from Arizona.

Shorey will pay restitution of $7,666,558 million and an additional $1 million fine.
