Wildcats Lose Game One in Five Innings
Arizona will face Stanford in game two on Friday night. No. 21 Arizona lost the first game of the series to No. 7 Stanford, scoring 9-0 in five innings. The teams were scoreless in the first two innings, but Stanford scored five runs in the third, including doubles, a fielder's choice, and a groundout. The Cardinal added two more in the fourth and final two runs on a two-run home run in the fifth inning. Arizona only managed three hits but left seven runners on base in five. Despite the loss, the team remains 2-6 on the season. They will face each other in the second game of this series on Friday, March 29 at 6 p.m. MST.
